DC Art All Night and Dine All Night

Art All Night is a free celebration of DC’s performing and visual arts. Started in 2011 in Shaw and now a city-wide festival across all 8 wards, different neighborhood associations organize activations at local businesses and community spaces.
Every year and every neighborhood is different, but include live music, art demonstrations, unique art installations, dance performances, cultural performances, and family-friendly activities.
In 2025, each neighborhood will host Art All Night activations on the nights of either Friday, September 12 or Saturday September 13.
Last 2023, the city started Dine All Night, which is a week and a half celebration of the culinary arts as a part of Art All Night. Participating restaurants will have limited-time menu items (food or drink) that showcase their creativity. Dine All Night runs from Saturday, September 6 through Saturday, September 13, 2025.
While the city coordinates and promotes the festival and helps with logistics, the neighborhood activations are done by each neighborhood group. Because of this, the information is a bit disjointed, because you have to go to each Main Street/Business Improvement District’s site to see details. To make it easier for people to find interesting things to do, we’ve put together this guide.
We are updating this regularly, but you should always check with the neighborhood’s linked website to make sure that the schedule still stands, as changes are still being made and some schedules are still pending.
