I acknowledge that participating in any Why and How LLC d/b/a Not Bored in DC (“Not Bored in DC”) event (“Event”), which may include activities such as hiking, dining at a restaurant, or visiting a museum, involves inherent risks and dangers. These risks may include, but are not limited to, the risk of personal injury, illness, or loss of personal belongings.
I hereby assume all risks associated with my participation in this event, whether known or unknown to me at this time.
Release and Waiver of Liability:
In consideration of being allowed to participate in Event, I hereby release, waive, and forever discharge Not Bored in DC, its officers, agents, and employees from any and all liabilities, claims, demands, or injuries, including death, that may be sustained by me while participating in this event or any activities conducted in conjunction with this event.
Photography and Audiovisual Filming Consent:
I understand that during Event, photography, video recording, and audio recording may occur. By entering the event premises, I consent to such recording media and its release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for promotional purposes, telecasts, advertising, inclusion on websites, or any other purpose by Not Bored in DC and its affiliates. I release Not Bored in DC from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication of interviews, photographs, computer images, video, and/or sound recordings.
I further waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by Not Bored in DC or the person or entity designated to do so by Not Bored in DC.
Emergency Medical Treatment Consent:
In case of an emergency, I hereby give consent to Not Bored in DC to seek emergency medical treatment for me. I agree to be financially responsible for any medical or legal bills that may result from such treatment.
Acknowledgment of Understanding:
I have read this waiver of liability, fully understand its terms, and understand that I am giving up substantial rights, including my right to sue. I acknowledge that I am entering the agreement freely and voluntarily, and intend by my attendance to be a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law.
